About Me
Lauren Tomhave has been a resident of the Landmark Historic District of Savannah, Georgia for over 11 years. She purchased, designed and renovated a 4,000 square foot loft space in the historic Derst Baking Company building, circa 1890. She knows architecture, and specializes in all areas of Savannah Real Estate from the Historic District, Ardsley area, Baldwin Park,to the Islands.
She comes from a background in art and design, and holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Sculpture, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Fashion Merchandising.
Lauren is a continuing member of the Distinguished Sales Society for 2011, an award given by the Savannah Area Board of Realtors for sales of $1,000,000 and over.
She was named Top Producer for 2011 at Celia Dunn Sotheby's International Realty with a total sales volume of over $5,800,000. She is a graduate of the Georgia Realtor Institute, and earned the SFR designation as a short sale and foreclosure resource.
Lauren is active in the community and recently "adopted" several Army families from Fort Stewart in an effort to share more of what Savannah has to offer with them on a more personal basis, and to get to know them in a meaningful way.
She served as past chairperson of the Silent and Live Auction Committee for the Cathedral Heritage Ball, which netted over $90,000 to benefit the Cathedral Endowment Fund. She is a Eucharistic minister and a regular volunteer at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, a landmark in Savannah.
Lauren is a member of the Telfair Museum of Art,the Corinthian Society of the Savannah College of Art and Design, the Downtown Neighborhood Association, and the Historic Savannah Foundation, serving on the Education Committee. She is an active supporter of the Savannah Film Festival, Savannah Music Festival, and also serves as President of the Oglethorpe Row Condominium Association.
She and her husband, a retired physician, are avid collectors of art and share an interest in wine. They have approximately 1,200 bottles in their cellar.
Lauren enjoys cooking, art, music and film, and she loves to travel. She has 3 grown children and 5 young grandchildren.
